Hey Everybody...

At this time of the year activity at the studio begins to accelerate at a very rapid pace. New students enroll and old students return after winter activities end. Costumes begin to arrive, new dances are introduced for the annual recital and competition season is at its peak. We are busy, busy, busy. Every year people tell us “I didn’t get any of the information”. In most cases they did not provide email address changes or simply didn’t read their email. It is critical that you keep us informed of your email address and credit card information. PLEASE read your email and check the bulletin boards for new information. Be sure you mark you calendar with upcoming dates. Read the newsletter and save it for reference. Be sure we have your proper email address because lots of information will be forthcoming. And all of you "newbies"...hang on tight, it's gonna be a bumpy ride! If you have questions check the newsletter, website and bulletin boards. If all else fails...ask for help.

Costumes have started to arrive! We will hand them out as we get them so the dancers can try them on. We encourage all families to remove the costumes from the bags, hang them on hangers and keep them in an adult’s closet away from little fingers. Try them on and then put them away until Picture Day and the show. Again, try them on! Do not wait until it is too late to exchange them.

Picture Days are scheduled for June 5^th and 6^th. Once again we will be contracting the services of Peter Noel Photography for our student pictures. This is your opportunity to have a stunning, professional photograph of your child for a very reasonable price. More information will be available as the date approaches.

Have you ever wondered what a Gold Party was? Can you really make money? Do I have to BUY anything? Gold parties are another form of home parties where people gather to sell their gold jewelry to gold buyers. They are becoming increasingly popular as people look for ways to raise money during the current recession. The buyer, generally, weighs and tests jewelry and other items for party guests. The testing includes a variety of means, including acid tests, magnet tests, and other methods to determine gold content. If a guest decides to sell the items, the buyer, then, pays her at the party.

Broadway Bound will be hosting a Gold Party as a way for our student families to make some money. The buyer will be at the studio on Saturday, March 13th. from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm. Stop buy anytime during that time to have your gold appraised. Only you decide, after an offer is given, if you want to sell the gold. You leave with a check in hand. Now go through your jewelry box and find the old gold chain from the 80's or that broken earring you never had the heart to throw out. Have them work for you and bring home some cash. You may be amazed at how much they are worth.

Recital T-Shirts are back! Order yours today!

Once again we are working with a dance wear vender to provide a custom recital t-shirt that will show the recital date, show title, studio name, etc. The names of all the performers will be printed on the back. A sample shirt from last year is on display at the studio. This years artwork is shown on the left and right. This year the shirts will be white with royal blue and yellow print and may be purchased for $15.00. Orders must be made by check or cash (no credit cards) and prepaid before March 20th.

Credit Card Fraud is rampant in New Hampshire! We have had an inordinate number of families tell us their credit card was replaced due to fraudulent charges. If your card is replaced please let us know as soon as possible. Oftentimes it takes weeks for changes to be brought to our attention and appropriate charges made to an account. Please don’t forget us when your card changes.

FUNDRAISER WINNERS ANNOUNCED - The Broadway Bound Competition Team announces the first two winners of the daily prizes to be awarded throughout the month of March. The calendar raffle offers excellent prizes for each day of March including a $25 Shaws gift certificate, a movie basket, a $20 Kohl's gift card, a wine and cheese basket, a $50 gift certificate for Broadway Bound etc. The first winners:

A very special shout out to Stacey Tupper for heading up this activity and for helping Dollars for Dancers collect $1285.00 to help offset next years competition team expenses. The next Performing Company meeting will be on Friday, March 5^th from 6:00 - 7:00 at the studio.

The next dance competition is March 6th, Dance Ovations at Stratham and On-Stage America March 27th and 28th in Fitchburg, Mass.

THE SUMMER SCHEDULE

IS COMING SOON!!!

The summer schedule will soon be available. We will have Day Camps as well as a four-week session of classes. There are guest instructors, intensive workouts, a performance showcase, crafts and games and many new opportunities for students of all ages and ability levels. Check ‘em out! Please read the schedule carefully and enroll before classes are full. Last year everyone had a terrific time! Don’t miss out!

Spring Special Extended: Add a class for just $25 - Once again we are offering additional classes at a reduced tuition. If you have been tempted to take an additional class but just couldn’t swing the increased expense this may be an opportunity for you. If you add an additional class before March 15th we will discount the tuition to only $25 per month. That’s 50 percent off the normal one hour class tuition. AND...it applies to siblings as well. Sign up the other kids for a class for only $25.

Show Update

As of this date we still have not decided how many shows we will have nor what classes will be in what shows. Your primary resource for show information will be via our email distribution list. Information will also be available on the website on the “It’s Showtime” page. The bulletin board, at the studio, will also be used to update you on show information. The show assignments, order of dance and dress requirements will be posted there. Please get in the habit of checking the board. We have scheduled set-up and Competition Team Rehearsals for June 25^th and shows for June 26th and 27^th. Additional rehearsal times will be posted and distributed. There will be a dress rehearsal, at the theatre, before each show. PLEASE MARK YOUR CALENDAR NOW!
