Congratulations to the eight members of the Broadway Bound Performing Arts Center Competition Team who performed in the 85th Annual Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City. The group marched down Fifth Avenue and appeared with the Spirit of America Dance Team in a live performance before a national television audience in front of the Macy’s Department Store at Herald Square. Prior to their performance the team enjoyed a week of rehearsals and touring New York City landmarks including the Statue of Liberty, the World Trade Center Memorial, Rockefeller Center and St. Patrick’s Cathedral. They also attend the Christmas Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall and a Broadway theater performance of “Sister Act”. Contrary to common belief, costumes are not stocked but are generally custom ordered in an effort to minimize the manufacturer’s inventory and shelf life; therefore it is not uncommon to order costumes six months prior to a performance. It is also the policy of most costume companies to require full payment at the time of the order. We realize this may be a burden for many of our student families at this time of the year however we need to place our orders and pay for them in order to guarantee delivery and allow time for adjustments if necessary. Everyone should have received a statement or invoice via e-mail showing the costume charge. If a student takes more than one class they will have more than one costume. Payment made after December 10th will incur a $10 late fee. Costumes must be ordered by the end of the year to guarantee delivery by May allowing enough time for adjustments if needed.
It has always been our goal to keep costume costs below the industry standard. We have kept the costume fee at the same price as last year even though the costume companies have made significant price increases in their latest catalogs. We have tried to select costumes within our price range.
We are unable to order costumes without payment and therefore you run the risk of not being able to perform in the show. A late fee of $10 per costume will be charged on payments made after December 10th. Costume payments are nonrefundable.
When paying for costumes please keep all payments separate from your tuition since they are accounted for in a separate process. Please write a separate check. Do not combine your costume payment with other payments. Check payments are preferred.
IMPORTANT…PLEASE NOTE: We would prefer a check or cash payment for costumes. If you must use a credit card, we will charge the costumes to the credit card we have on file however, we will not charge costumes unless you specifically request it. If you want to charge your card please reply to this email. We can not charge the card, for costumes, without your approval. |

Competition Teams kick-off performance scheduled. You are all invited to a celebration of our talented Dance and Baton Competition Teams! The teams will be performing all of their routines at the Annual Kickoff Performance in January. The Performing Company will also be making a guest appearance. The Amato Theater at the Boys and Girls Club of Souhegan Valley in Milford is working to find us a suitable date however nothing is finalized as yet.. This is a wonderful opportunity for our younger students to see the bigger kids perform and see what others in the studio are doing. Bring them to the show to support their schoolmates and perhaps it will inspire them to achieve a higher level of performance as well as a greater appreciation of the arts. We will notify you as soon as plans are finalized. . |

Bring your friends back to Broadway Bound! We will be accepting new students up until January 31, 2012. At that time we will need to “lock in” our classes and prepare our dances for the annual performance in June. If you know of anyone who just finished soccer or cheerleading and would like to start taking classes please let them know they still have time. Your word of mouth promotion of the studio is always very much appreciated and referrals are rewarded with a t-shirt for the first referral, a bag for the second and a sweatshirt for the third. Why not share your dance experience with your friends? |
