PURE WATER FINISHES 8TH AND WINS $10,000 AWARD! We are please to announce that with your help Pure Water Vending has won a $10,000 award from Best Buy to support their project to buy pure water filters for third world nations. The money will be used to purchase additional vending machines and find other locations where they may be placed. The group will need to find a sponsor for the machine who will help with the purchase and provide adult mentoring to the young people that are caretakers of the machine. If the sponsor is able to come up with half of the $4000 to buy the machine, the grant will match the other half and the girls will provide technical assistance and use their web site to report statistics. That sponsor may be a club, faith community, scouts, i.e. a group with money to contribute and the ability to keep kids on track. They will also need to find a location to "host" the machine -- that means a place like Broadway Bound where the machine can reside and the location owner is supportive and has enough foot traffic to make it worthwhile. Finally they will need to find a group of interested supporters willing to be "caretakers" of the machine. They will need to purchase the water, stock the machine, track the sales, report sales to the Pure Water Vending Team Leaders, They need to drive or have an adult willing to commit to ensuring they will get the water to stock the machine. If you know of an organization that may be interested in sponsoring a machine please let us know and we will pass it on to the Team. Again…thank you all for your online voting. And of course, thank you for your continued support of Pure Water Vending by purchasing water from the machine in the studio.
